“The Rural Juror” — Episode 110

Jenna is excited about the release of her new film – “The Rural Juror”. The film is based on a book written by Kevin Grisham, the less-famous brother of John Grisham. She gives Liz a screener copy, and asks her to view it and give her honest opinion of it.

Tracy approaches Jack, asking him for $100,000 so he won’t lose his houses. Jack inquires as to whether or not he has a financial adviser, and Tracy tells him that his financial adviser is Grizz. Grizz blames Tracy’s financial woes on the Worldcom scandal. Jack refuses his request, instead suggesting that he use his name to promote a product. He encourages Tracy to give it some thought and come up with a product he can put his name on.

Liz takes the time to view Jenna’s film, and is not impressed. But, she does not want to tell Jenna the truth for fear of offending her. When Jenna asks her about it, she can tell by Liz’s reaction that she didn’t care for it. This, of course, results in a huge arguement, and Liz and Jenna are no longer on speaking terms.

Tracy returns to Jack with an idea for his product – a grill called “The Tracy Jordan Meat Machine”. The put together an infomercial, and Dr. Spaceman gives it a medical endorsement. But, after the machine sprays Kenneth with hot grease, Tracy decides he cannot put his name on it. Jack takes the Meat Machine, and gives it to Whoopi Goldberg, so she can endorse it instead.

Josh breaks into Liz’s office and steals her copy of “The Rural Juror”, and shares it with the rest of the staff. They, surprisingly, like the film. Liz is shocked.

Jack decides to mediate the Liz/Jenna conflict. He takes them both into his office and they work out their differences.
